Shailja Dubé

Institute of Positive Fashion Lead, British Fashion Council

Shailja Dubé leads the Institute of Positive Fashion (IPF) programme at the British Fashion Council. Responsible for the strategy and delivery of the BFC's commitment to creating pathways for a circular fashion economy in the UK, she also directs the Circular Fashion Ecosystem Project within this role. 

Shailja is passionate about creating systems-level change for an equitable fashion economy, and he role of innovation  to accelerate positive change. Prior to the BFC, Shailja was Responsible Retail Lead at Accenture where she focused on the intersection of sustainability and business in the fashion and wider retail sectors. With over 20 years’ experience, she has held business strategy, digital transformation management, market growth, innovation and social policy roles.

 Shailja holds a BEng in Mechanical and Environmental Engineering, MSc in Product Innovation, and is an alumni of the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership.
