Before joining Huntsman in 2019 Taj had already established himself as a stalwart of luxury retail client services having previously worked within tailoring for over 12 years, with names such as Gieves & Hawkes and Scabal. Taj has a comprehensive education in contemporary British menswear; having a ground-up understanding of the industry.
Innovation is at the forefront of Taj’s ethos. Under his tenure, the business has benefitted from new technology and practices, including many ways of delivering the bespoke tailoring experience to the consumer at home, including robotic bespoke services, made-to-order, and a sizable increase in digital presence, successes the likes of which have been chronicled in The New York Times, the BBC and Forbes.
Taj led Huntsman through the challenges of the pandemic, launching new initiatives to keep tailors in employment, like sewing scrubs for frontline workers. Taj bought the house to fiscal success in the year subsequently. Today, the business is forward facing, as Taj continues to navigate the changing landscape of luxury menswear and bring Huntsman’s established reputation as the finest tailoring house to that of an internationally leading bespoke lifestyle brand.
Diversity and equality are the cornerstones of Taj’s approach to business. He is passionate about the next generation of tailors, investing significantly in Huntsman’s mentoring and apprenticeship program. Huntsman currently employs one of the largest workforces on Savile Row, and Taj is impassioned that the heart of the business, is and always will be bespoke.
