Wendy Whewell is the Head of ESG and Climate Change for Corporate and Commercial Banking at Santander.

Throughout her career, she has worked in corporate relationship banking and is now profoundly engaged in advancing Santander's ambition to be a leader in assisting businesses, individuals, and communities in navigating the challenges of climate change and achieving net zero in a responsible and sustainable manner.

In addition to her current responsibilities, she has always worked on various initiatives aimed at enhancing education, providing career guidance, mentoring and supporting disadvantaged young people. Sustainability has consistently been a central focus of her work.

In her spare time she is an avid wildlife photographer. This passion has taken her to different parts of the world, allowing her to observe the effects of climate change on our planet and its inhabitants firsthand. These experiences have further strengthened her dedication to her role
