Oliver Spencer

Founder, Oliver Spencer

Frustrated by the limitations of art school and eager to forge his own path, Oliver Spencer launched his menswear career with a stall at Portobello Market. It was there that he developed an enduring appreciation for fabric, craftsmanship, and the art of shopkeeping—principles that continue to define his eponymous brand today.

Founded in 2002, Oliver Spencer was born from a desire to blend premium tailoring with a modern, relaxed aesthetic. Having spent a decade building formalwear label Favourbrook, Oli wanted to create a collection that combined the craftsmanship of traditional menswear with an effortless, contemporary attitude. His philosophy? Quality needn’t mean formality; casual needn’t mean careless.

That ethos has struck a chord with discerning dressers worldwide. From a single store on London’s Lambs Conduit Street, Oliver Spencer has expanded to multiple locations and a thriving international online business, with stockists including Mr Porter, Liberty and Harrods.

Over 65% of Oliver Spencer’s clothing is crafted using responsible fabrics, including organic cotton, linen, and recycled wool; locally sourced and locally made in the UK and Europe. With ongoing initiatives that include waste reduction, ethical supply chains, and carbon footprint minimisation; proving that modern menswear can be conscientious and elegant.
