Dominic Kavakeb

Co-Director of Campaigns

Dominic is a Co-Director of Campaigns at Global Witness, leading on campaign strategy across Global Witness. Throughout the majority of his six years with Global Witness, Dominic has worked on delivering high impact communications campaigns, having been involved in the curation and delivery of numerous Global Witness media stories, including 2024’s undercover exposé of a leading figure in the COP29 leadership. Dominic represented Global Witness at COP26 in Glasgow, where the organisation first launched its annual data investigation on the number of fossil fuel lobbyists at the climate talks.


Dominic joined Global Witness in 2019 from Transparency International UK where he led the organisations communications efforts to tackle the presence of dirty money in the UK financial system. He was involved in the 2016 London Anti-Corruption Summit, hosted by then Prime Minister David Cameron.


He has also worked with movements for democratic reform in the Middle East and has a Masters in International Journalism from City University. He worked for Al Jazeera English and the Telegraph, both in London, before moving into NGO campaigning.
